Description

This Berber babouche or Dambira Mule style in very chic Orange leather is easy to put on. Can be worn daily in all terrains: at home as slippers and as shoes when going out. Can easily be combined with Zen clothing or any other Berber outfit. Its round toe and elastomer outsole make it practical and non-slip. Features a pull-up tongue for quicker steps.

The leathers used are carefully selected, giving the shoe great flexibility and providing the greatest comfort to the foot. Carefully crafted by the best craftsmen with goat leather lined inside and out. The regularity of the double-thread stitching makes this original shoe a strong and durable product. For greater hygiene, the interior is lined with a stitched sole made of anti-perspirant crust. The leather is tanned naturally, which prevents the appearance of any allergies.

Berber men's slippers with a beautifully engraved upper to highlight the lines of this distinctive slipper with its relaxed charm. Its design draws on ancestral Moroccan beauty to ensure its longevity.

How are our Dambira Babouches made?

Our Dambira babouches are carefully crafted in the heart of Marrakech, Morocco, and proudly handmade in Mohamed Bahi's family workshop.

Meet the Maestro!

Since 2014, we've had the honor of collaborating with Mohamed Bahi, the artisan behind our workshop. What began in a 6-square-meter space has grown into a well-organized unit where tradition is honored. With the help of his brother and his team of four, Mohamed continues to craft each piece by hand—staying true to authentic methods, with the only modern touch being a polishing machine.

Your questions, our answers

How to determine my ideal size

Our babouches may vary in size from one model to another, depending on the design and materials used. That’s why we recommend carefully checking the information provided on each product page. You’ll find specific guidance there to help you choose the ideal size.

To make things easier, we have created a size simulator available on the following page:
https://en.artisanat-shop.com/pages/size

How should my pair fit?

For the ideal fit, your Dambira should feel fairly snug at first. Because they are entirely made from natural leather, they will gradually soften and mold to the shape of your feet over time. Your toes may lightly touch the tip of the babouche with gentle pressure, but without curling. It usually takes between 3 and 5 wears for your Dambira to begin loosening and fully adapting to your foot shape.

Can I return my pair for a refund, store credit, or exchange?

Of course! We gladly accept returns of NEW and UNWORN Dambira. For more information and to initiate a request, please visit our returns page. We also accept returns for new and unworn orders placed within Europe within 30 days of receipt.

Can my Dambira be resoled?

Yes — the rubber outsoles on your Dambiras protect the traditional leather sole underneath and can be easily replaced by any cobbler. It is important to monitor wear on the rubber, especially at the heel, to prevent it from wearing through and exposing the leather sole, which could become damaged. We recommend maintaining or replacing the soles after 12 to 24 months of use, depending on wear.

What is the protective outsole made of?

The rubber we use for the outsoles of our Dambiras is thermoplastic rubber (TPR). This soft and thin material is specifically chosen so it does not prevent the leather sole from adapting to the shape of your foot. TPR offers several advantages: it is flexible, tear-resistant, reusable, recyclable, and provides good abrasion resistance. These outsoles are applied to each pair of Dambiras using a combination of adhesive and pressure. Their purpose is to protect both the stitching and the genuine leather sole.

How should I care for my Babouche?

To keep your babouches in good condition, avoid prolonged exposure to water or direct sunlight. Clean them gently with a soft dry cloth or a slightly damp sponge if needed—never machine wash. For the leather, you may occasionally use a natural leather conditioner to maintain its softness and color.

Store them in a cool, dry place and avoid folding the back when not in use to preserve their shape. With a little care, your babouches will age beautifully and remain a comfortable companion for years.
